The
United States is a nation in peril. We certainly are having
difficulties on many fronts. We have a financial situation
which at best is pitiful, and at worst, ruinous. We are
currently in a war, rumored to be in more soon, and are
still occupying foreign soil from the last century! We are
viewed by the people of the world as a friend, foe, ally,
enemy, giver of aid, and even satan. We are hope to
some, and a target to others. We cannot seem to control our
borders, and health care is in grave jeopardy. Our leaders
pander to special interests and lobbyists, while many
God-fearing citizens go unheard. We offer programs,
incentives, and bailouts in hopes of propping up the image
of a strong America. We listen to, and rally behind
politicians as they spout their empty promises, which will
inevitably be forgotten shortly after the election...at
least by the politicians! When our economy falters
repeatedly, we repeatedly print more money in hopes of
keeping things going. As a whole, our nation is full of
debtors. The majority of us have mortgage debt...which we
are told is a good thing. We owe on our cars which seem to
be road worthy barely past our last payment. Some supposedly
Bible believing churches are allowing homosexuals to become
pastors, and preach from the pulpit. Regulations, laws,
ordinances, and the like are so numerous that just about
anything could be illegal. Most Americans are conditioned to
believe their lot in life is to go to college, graduate, get
married, secure a good job, buy a home, buy nice cars, nice
things, have a child or two, lavish them with gifts, work as
much as possible, relax on the weekends, put away money for
retirement, retire, live large, enjoy the grandkids, then
die happy. It's the "American Dream" to be
financially independent...yet we are more dependent today
than we EVER have been! Too bad our dependence is not on
GOD! This current bail out of various lending institutions
is just a step closer to COMPLETE dependence of America on
government, which by the way, was NEVER intended to be in
CONTROL of our lives. On the contrary, the Constitution of
the United States provides for individual life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness! Government
was intended to "help" prevent the type of
tyrannical control the pilgrims escaped! However, just like
the children of Israel cried out for a king...we too have
sought the authority of government, above the authority of
God. The state of our great nation is imperiled by our own
doing. The church, as a whole, has been silent for far too
long! We have turned deaf ears, and blind eyes toward the
atrocities of those in power. We have allowed, tolerated,
and facilitated philosophies of men, which are in direct
opposition to God's Holy Word! We have left it up to others
to make a stand for righteousness. We have feigned
allegiance to God, while serving our own selfish desires.
This nation...built upon the sure foundation of the Holy
Bible, is in more peril than EVER BEFORE. It needs
leadership which bows to God. It needs leaders who will be
moved by the SPIRIT instead of greed! It needs people who
are willing to sacrifice ALL to insure life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness devoid of over-powering
governmental control! And it must begin, in the House of the
Lord! It must begin with those who espouse to be Christ
followers! It must be championed by those who understand
that without God, the United States as we have known it...as
it was formed by our fore-fathers...will cease to
exist...LITERALLY. Perhaps we have taken too much pride in
our hard work, and ability to plan? Maybe we have been
remiss in our desire to BUILD a strong nation? The only
nation which will survive the hits of time, is one built by
GOD HIMSELF! If we can't understand this simple truth, we
are hopeless! God is raising up a GREAT ARMY. He is waking
up His people. He is telling those who are listening what to
do. He is with us...of whom shall we be afraid?! Should we
fear what man can do to us?! Should we be worried about the
consequences of righteousness?! NO! NEVER! Our only desire
should be to listen and obey...the BIG question is... Are
